Toyota Repair: Electrical Problem, side kick panel, car stero

Question
1993 Toyota Pickup 2WD, MT, Reg Cab 22RE engine with 187,000 miles

I installed a car stero about 6 months ago. While installing a hot wire touched the frame.  After installation, the car stereo works but the following things do not:
1) car alarm stopped working
2) remote door entry not working
3) light behind heater panel is out
4) battery and break warning light stay on after starting car

Note, this is not an alternator problem as truck starts fine 6 months later even though the warning lights typically indicate an alternator problem.

Checked allt the fuses my driver side kick panel and they are good.  Looked for wires that may be shorting and can not find any.

What can be the problem?

Answer
The 7.5 Amp IGN fuse powers the charge lamp.
Its grounded in the alt when its not charging.
The other feed to the alt is the 10Amp ENGINE fuse.

Check those first.
Otherwise you may have shorted the yellow wire that goes from the light to ground.
It also ties into the daytime running light relay.
