Toyota Repair: Gas Leak, charcoal canister, manual tranny

I have a 1995 toyota 4 runner with a 3L v6 and a manual tranny.  it is leaking gas bad. i found the source of the leak. the was a hose dangling from the charcoal canister that the gas was coming out of.  the "to tank" hose was full of gas also.  when i drive it it starts to jerk real bad.  what is wrong with my toyota?

Answer
someone may have overfilled the fuel tank.
The charchol canister should only hold fuel vapor.
At this point it may need to be replaced, its not servicable.
That may clear up the running problem.
Either way fix that first.
