Question I have an 1984 toyota celica gt 22r 4 cylinder 5-speed 85,000 miles.
1st i lost major power and it would stall every time i would come to a complete stop idles bellow 500rpm then stall. next day lost even more power couldnt go above 20 mph and keep stalling if i floor the gas in neutral it will not go over 3000rpm. next day will not start at all. i have changed plugs, wires, distribtor cap, rotor, coil pack, all the cylinders have 125 psi. tested spark and its getting very little spark. getting plenty gas. hope you can help thanks.
AnswerIf it has spark and fuel as you say, I would check and see if there is an exhaust restriction. Crank over and check the tail pipe.
Also take a fuel sample. Fill a jar and let it sit, if it has water or desiel in it, youll see it seperate.
SMELL IT, DOES IT SMELL LIKE GASOLINE?
