Toyota Repair: 95 4cyl toyota camry automatic, toyota camry, diagnostic checks

hi. i just got a 95 toyota camry w/ 179k miles on it  , when driven ,gas pedal is on the floor the car moves but slow , until about  second gear then it drives ok, over drive ligth flashes on dash,also have pwr button by shifter has been put on but same result, and speedometer doesnt work, is both realated? help! im low on cash but wish to fix

you may have a speed sensor problem. If the ecu doesnt know how fast your going, you may be starting out in the wrong gear.
Youll need someone to put a scan tool on it and do some diagnostic checks.
Because the speedo doesnt work, I tghink it may just be a simple sensor replacement.
