Toyota Repair: No air Conditioning, heater core repair, cable problem

Question
Mike, I have a 95 Previa, I get a light on the switch for the AC, but the compressor does not engage, I had the heater core replaced and this has not worked since, also I do not seem to be getting any heat in the winter time, very little heat, doesn't seem to be circulating.

Could the two be inter-related? I think the problem with the heat in the thermo stat or water pump, worse case their is a blockage in the system someplace. For now just wokring on the AC is there something I can check, I replaced the fuse today and still nothing.

Help..

Answer
You will need to have gauges hooked up to see if there is pressure in the AC system.
The heater core is in the same box with the AC evaporator so it may be from the heater core repair.

If it doesnt overheat or use coolant it may be a blend door or heater control cable problem.
Get an estimate.
It needs to be looked at.
