Toyota Repair: Starting odd., fuel line, fuel tank

My 1996 forerunner all of a sudden stopped starting.
I replaced the fuel filter and it ran fine for a while.  Less then 100km later it won't start again. It still attempts to turn over battery isn't the problem I don't think. I'm think fuel pump but hopefully something cheaper?

See if the ck engine lights up with the key on.
If no then you have a bad efi fuse or relay.
Check for spark at the plugs, then you need to crack the fuel line and put a rag under it. TAP the key and see if you have fuel pressure.
BE CAREFULL NOT TO SPRAY FUEL ONTO THE ENGINE.
If no pressure you need to make sure that you have 12volt at the pump connector .The pump is in the fuel tank.
