I have a 92 toyota paseo, when you start the car and it is idling it will idle low then go high then low almost as if you were stepping on the gas and letting off over and over again and so on until the motor is warm and then it runs fine.It is very annoying. ?

you may have air in the cooling system.
Check when cold and make sure the radiator is topped off.
When you get air in the passage by the temp sensor the unevem temp gives a changing signal to the ecu witch in turn trys to raise/lower the idle.

I have seen a bad iac do that also. Its under the throttle body. Tap the throttle body LIGHTLY with a small hammer , if thats stuck it should free up and idle ok.
