Toyota Repair: Flashing oil light, toyota estima emina, cracked head

Question
Hi, we have a Toyota Estima Emina 2.2 TD RWD automatic. Its a CXR10-0134262 (ON A 1997 P PLATE). It has about 125000kms on the clock but it has had an engine rebuild at about 100000 kms due to a cracked head (we replaced it with a brand new one). The car had the oil and filter changed about 100 miles ago but today the oil light on the dash was flashing. We never drive the car over 70mph and keep the revs low. I know that if the light comes on then the level is low but I have never seen it or know about it flashing. Could you let me know what may be the problem that it is trying to make us aware of.   Many thanks, Matt

Answer
Its an oil pressure light, not a level light. You need to take the sender out and replace with a gauge to check oil pressure.
I have seen water in the oil find its way into the switch and flicker the light after a rebuild.
If you have oil pressure, replace the pressure switch.
