Toyota Repair: Replaced Toyota Engine, toyota corrolla, emission control system

Question
I replaced 94 toyota corrolla engine 1.8L with a geo prizm 96 also 1.8L, engine with very low miles, haveing problem with, new engine has EGR valve and the original motor didn't use a EGR valve, it uses a a/c idle up valve. Please let me know if this 96 1.8L  engine will work in this 94 toyota corrolla body. ( there is no hook up for the VSV for EGR which is controlled by the ECM module. Can any of this EGR be bypassed? What is my solution to making this engine work with this 94 corrolla? Thank You
Steve

Answer
The egr system was only used in california on the corolla in 1994, unless you reside in the state of california you do not need the egr system and you will have to change over the intake system from the 1994 engine and some of the emission control system and install it on the 1996 engine, as long as both engines had the same transmission it should work.
