i put it in first gear go to take off and it pops out of gear.all the time and it makes some noise when it does..thank yo

The most common cause for popping out of gear is that the bushings in the shifter are totally worn, to check them remove the shift boot and then the gear shifter,press down on the retainer and turn it and the shift lever will pop out so the bushings can be replaced, do not remove the 12mm bolts.
There are two bushings, contact the toyota dealer and get the bushings first so you will know what they look like because the old ones may be gone. Ask the parts person if you can look on their computer where the bushings are located to give you an idea of where they are supposed to go.
