Toyota Repair: 87 4runner power rear window, salvage yard, wiring diagrams

Question
Hi Ted, I have a 1987 4runner 4cyl.,5speed Sr5.The back window stopped working one day and hasn't since.I replaced the window motor(bench tested it first)and the power window and wiper relay, both from salvage yard. The rear wiper works just fine as long as it begins from the retracted position.I bypassed all of the switches and relays with two wires from the battery and window works.I guess I need to check all switches.Any suggestions? Thanks < Tim

Answer
There is a inhibit switch on the left side of the pickup bed that prevents the rear window from operating if the top is removed, it's possible that there is a problem there, try bypassing this switch, it's located on the left side of the bed where it makes contact with the top when it's installed.
Remove the left rear paneling and make sure all the electrical connectors are connected.
I don't have any wiring diagrams that go this far back but I remember having this problem before and found that there was an open circuit in the left rear panel.
