Toyota Repair: 1995 geo prizm HYDRAULIC CLUTCH, clutch master cylinder, 1995 geo prizm

CLUTCH SEEMED FINE WHEN PRESSED BUT NOW ITS IN NEUTRAL AND WILL NOT ENGAGE IN ANY OTHER GEAR.CLUTCH PEDAL HAS NO EFFECTS IF PRESSED OR NOT. WAS VERY HARD TO SHIFT PRIOR TO HEARING A NOISE OF SOMETHING SNAPPING OR BREAKING WHILE WAS BEING DRIVEN.IM NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS. CAR IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, NOT SURE IF POSSIBLE MASTER CYLINDER, THROWOUT BEARING, LINKAGE, OR WHAT FOR SURE. IM NO MECHANIC. JUST LOOKING FOR POSSIBLE ISSUES COULD BE?

First make sure there are no hydraulic leaks, check the clutch master cylinder fluid, if it's low there is a leak somewhere, either the master cylinder or the clutch release cylinder or both, if they leak it will be obvious, look for a leak between the master cylinder and where it connects to the brake booster.
If the fluid level is up and no fluid had to be added recently there is a mechanical failure, probably the clutch pressure plate, this will require transmission removal.
