MY LOW COOLENT LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR STOP SO I PUT SOME COOLENT IN MY CAR AND IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP....SO AFTER IT STARTED MY CAR STARTED KNOCKIN LOUD BUT IT WAS STILL DRIVEABLE...I JUST NEED HELP ON WHAT IT COULD BE THE KNOCKIN SEEM LIKE ITS COMING FROM THE ENGINE BUT I DONT THINK THE ENGINE IS BAD...PLEASE HELP

well first off the low coolant light came on did the car overheat? If so it could have done all kinds of damage and that is where the noise is from. How much did you add and did you add cold water into a hot engine? whithout hearing the noise it's hard to say what the issue could be. where did the coolant go, did it leak out onto the ground or was it a long gradual loss of cooolant. If it was long gradual it may have leaked into the engine. pull the dipstick out and look at the oil if it has a white milkshake look to it then it leaking into the engine and the damage is already done.
