Question
After the automatic transmission in my Camry fully warms up, it no longer downshifts back to first at a stop.  I have to manually shift it down to first, and then when I shift up to second or drive, it feels as though it goes from first into third or fourth.  The overdrive light also begins to flash on and off.  I've never had the transmission repaired or the fluid changed.
Ideas?

The overdrive light flashing means that there is a trouble code in the transmission computer, possibly a shift solenoid malfunction, you need to have someone retreive the trouble code to start looking for a possible cause of this problem.
If the transmission fluid has not been changed in a long time and is dark and discolored and smells burned there may be more serious problems.
