Toyota Repair: Engine Vibration, engine vibration, butt load

Question
I have a 98 SR5 Tacoma V6 4X4.  I just returned from a deployment from Iraq.  I when I returned my truck had a new quirk.   Between 50 and 60 MPH it feels like the front right side of the truck is vibrating.  I thought it was an alignment issue but when I put the truck in park, ever 10 seconds or so the engine will have a partial stall similiar to a hiccup for a vehicle.  The check engine light is on.  I want to fix the vehicle because its paid off but I don't want to spend a butt load of money going off what the mechanic says.  Whatever you can do to help thank you.

Answer
First of all let me take time to thank you for your service to our Country.
Now to address the problem, since the check engine light is on I'm going to ask you to have it diagnosed for that, I just need to know what the DTC(diagnostic trouble code)is, I highly recommend having a toyota dealer hook up the diagnostic tool to retreive the trouble code it will make things a lot easier for me to help, by the way, a lot of the autoparts stores will help you do this for free, check with any of the Kragen or Autozone stores, then let me know what the trouble code numbers are and I may be able to save you some money.
The vibration does not seem to be related and may be a seperate issue but lets address the check engine light first, you may contact me directly at my email address:
