Toyota Repair: Power Window, backyard mechanic, toyota camry

Question
I have a 1997 Toyota Camry 4 cyl auto transmission. The driver's power window will sometimes not go up. Example: Stop at a toll booth. Power window down (goes down fine). Pay toll & try to put window up. Sometimes it will go up fine, other times it will stop part way up (not necessarily at the same point each time). If I wait several seconds & try again it usually will go up further or all the way. So far the driver's window is the only one that has experienced this. What might be causing this? Is it something that can be repaired by a backyard mechanic? Rough guess as to cost to fix? Thank you in advance for you response & assistance.

Answer
The most common problem is the power window motor, to replace it the door panel has to be removed and the window regulator with the motor then the motor can be seperated from the regulator, check with the toyota dealer because on some camry models the regulator and motor come as one unit, to have it repaaired at the dealer it will run around $350 parts and labor.
