Toyota Repair: Toyota 4X4 acceleration, vacuum hoses, toyota 4x4

Question
I seem to have problems with my '82 4X4 22R(83000) miles. It sat for a few months in the yard. Now, when it gets up to about 2000 RPMs it sputters and stalls. I have checked the vacuum lines(but not sure if I did it correctly) and the mounting bolts for the carb, and they look OK(again, I am not sure). How can I verify that the vacuum hoses are without leaks - there are a lot of them. If those check out OK, Then, what is the next step ?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
You can have a fuel problem or a ignition problem.

I suggest you find a place locally who knows the Toyota product and let them find the cause. You can try and I could give you a list of things try but you may save money having someone local narrow down the cause.
