Toyota Repair: 1993 Toyota pickup 2.4L 22re, air flow meter, vacuum leak

Question
Truck use to run fine. It is a 1993 toyota pickup 2.4L 22re 5spd. with approx 200,000 miles. I placed it in storage for about 4 months. When I tried to start it. It started fine and then would die about 10 to 15 seconds later.  I thought maybe it was the fuel so I drained the tank but didn't change any thing. Also I changed the fuel filter and fuel pump.  I checked the fuses and the timing. But it still does the same thing. It will run for about 10 seconds and die, and I can crank it right back up and it will do the same. I also sprayed fuel into the throttle body and as long as your spraying fuel it runs fine.  What could be the problem?

Answer
There are two things that I can think of other than a large vacuum leak on the intake system, it sounds like the injectors are being turned off by the computer or the fuel pump is being turned off, the fuel pump is controlled by the air flow meter, it's more common to fail than the ECU, check to see that the door in the air flow meter is fully closed and that it can be moved, check the air flow meter electrical connector for any corrosion  and check the connections on the a/f meter for the corrosion or bent pins.
Try a different air flow meter, you can get a used one from most salvage yards probably for less than it would cost to have a repair shop diagnose the problem.
