Toyota Repair: 1991 previa van problem, throttle position sensor, atached

Question
April 27/05
Having a problem with my 91 previa van.  It jerks mostly between the speeds of 0 to 60 k/p/h.  It seems to searching for different gears at times.  During the winter at temps of -10 to 20 C, there was not a probem until I took it into a heated underground parking lot, thats when the problem would resurface.  Now in spring, it's there all the time.  I had the tranmission flushed and did a tune up ie plugs, wire, cap and rotor but never helped.  This was the recommendation of the dealer.  I saw your answer to a similar probem dated 2/21/04 subject previa van 2wd. I questioned the dealer about the bulletin you refer to that talks about this similar problem.  They did not know which bulletin this was.  Could you please tell me which bulletin it was and secondly, does this sound like a problem related to the throttle position sensor as you talked about?

Answer
The problem was with the wire harness atached to the throttle position sensor, there is a sub harness available from the toyota dealer, I'm not sure if a service bulletin was issued regarding this, but if you refer to my answer I think I gave the questioner a part number of this harness, if you can not find the part number let me know and I can get it for you.
