Toyota Repair: timing issue, crankshaft pulley, toyota camry

95 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl
How do I set the timing between crank and cams.
Also timing of distributer to cams.
If you could explain this I would be thankful.
Have engine ready to assemble but unsure about timing area.

Answer
Temporarily install the lower timing cover and the crankshaft pulley and rotate the engine to top dead center with the notch on the pulley ligned up with the zero mark on the cover, there is a small hole on the camshaft pulley it needs to be lined up with the notch on the front camshaft upper bearing housing, you will need a mirror and a flashlight to locate the mark, once you get the timing marks lined up with the timing belt tensioner released and tight you can reinstall all the covers.
