Toyota Repair: A/C Compressor not kicking in, toyota corolla ve, cold question

Question
I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla VE 4 cyclinder gas engine. I got in the vehicle one morning and the pos terminal came loose when I attempted to start the car. I tighten the positive terminal.  Cranked the car no problem.  I then noticed the a/c was blowing hot.  When I parked the car night before it was blowing cold.  Question is what is keeping the compressor from kicking in? How best to resolve this issue?

Answer
Losing battery power doesn't cause the a/c compressor or the a/c to become inop. There is another problem, I recommend that you have either the toyota dealer or an a/c repair shop diagnose the problem, at this time with the information I have,I can't help more.
