Hi,

I needed to replace the battery on my Toyota Rav4 (N Reg).  As soon as I replaced to battery an alarm sounded and I could't stop it. I even disconnected the battery again and took out all fuses and the alarm still went on until it tired itself out and gradually stopped. Do you know what I should do to avoid this happening.

Recharge the battery, before connecting the battery terminals open the driver's door and turn the ignition key to the on position, connect the battery, this works most of the time, the other solution is to remove the alarm system and restore the ignition system back to the original configuration.
