Toyota Repair: Taillights on Camry, alan hahn, small harness

Question
I have what seems to be a common problem, taillight failure on a 93 Camry.  I have replaced the taillight relay switch, (yellow box in trunk) as it had a obvious blown spot on the circuit board...this worked, but within hours, it blew the new board.  I have been trying to find bare wires or something obvious that would have caused this to blow two boards, but I cannot find anything.  Do you know what might be causing this board to blow and subsequently loss of taillights?

Thanks very much

Alan Hahn

Answer
Have you checked the wires in the small harness on the left side on the trunk hinge, you need to cut it open and check for broken or shorted wires between the hinge and where the harness enters the passenger compartment, let me know if that is the problem.
