Toyota Repair: Front Wheel bearings for 93 Celica GT; 2,2liter, toyota celica gt, front wheel bearings

Question
I have a 93 Toyota Celica GT; 2.2 liter. I thought I could install the left front wheel bearing myself, but I'm stuck. Outer hub is off and the outer bearing & race is out, but I can't get inner race out or new in because the drive axle is still extending through center of bearing & frame.  It is connected to a cv joint just behind the frame, then there's the drive shaft going up to the transfer case with another cv joint there as it enters the transfer case.  Do I have to take all of that out? If so how? as I don't have a clue.  I've bit off more than I can chew.  Help!  What do I do? (The dealer wanted $1000 to install)

Answer
You could have saved yourself some grief if you asked me before trying to do this.
The bearing has to be pressed out and back in with a hydraulic press.
And yes, all that has to come out.
My advice is to try to put it back together and carefully drive to a repair shop or have it towed, the dealer price sounds way to high for just a bearing replacement, should be no more than $500.
