i have a 1963 ford 4000 series, model #41107,serial# 224731963 that is not getting any power to the starter..i have a good battery (6 volt) and have put a new celanoid on..i have looked at the wiring and don't see anything loose..any advice is appreicated..i have some mechanical experience...tks

Hello,

  There is going to be either a neutral start switch, or a clutch pedal switch that is probably not working.  Hook a test light or voltmeter to  the small wire on the solenoid and see if there is any power there when the key is turned to the start position.  If not, check if there is power coming from the key switch in the start position.  Sometimes these models get a poor connection where the wires plug onto the back of the key switch, or the switch could be bad.  If everything is OK there, then the neutral switch or clutch pedal switch has failed.
