Tractor Repair: International 234 tractor, 20 HP mitsu 3 cyl, international 234 tractor, clutch pedal

Question
I recently purchased a 1987? international 234 compact tractor with 500 hours. Mitubushi 3 cylinder 20 Hp deisel engine.  Mechanical drive  Very nice cosmetic shape, but not running,  estate sale, had sat outside in the northeast for 2 years.  Is now running fine, BUT clutch is frozen, engaged 100 %.   Have to start in gear.    ANY tricks ,short of disassembly,  to get the cluch released from the drive plate?  Thanks for the time

Answer
You can try chaining the tractor to a tree or something and starting it in gear and holding in the clutch pedal.  Let the tractor pull with the pedal depressed and see if it will break loose.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  It depends on how badly it is rusted to the flywheel.  These were a nice little tractor, but unfortunately parts are no longer available for them.

              Good luck,
