Tractor Repair: nuffield dm4 steering, steering box, hi mike

i am replacing the bearings on the steering box,and can only find one bearing on a parts list, however when i took it apart there was one bearing at the top and parts of another bearing were found in the bottom of the steering box.is there another bearing?

Hi mike.
Sounds as if it was in a bad condition with only parts of the bearing to be found.
I do not have a manual on this model ,might be a good idea to find one.
But you can usualy tell if there is a space for a bearing just by examining the unit and looking for a recess were it might go.
I would have thought yes  2 bearings . As something has to support the shaft OK.
Cant say much more, without referring to a manual.
