Tractor Repair: Fuse blows when engaging blade, amp fuse, electric clutch

Question
Hi, I have a 3 1/2 year old 24 hp craftsman that recently I have had a electrical problem with. I found the 20 amp fuse and it was blown, I replaced it and the mower starts & runs great. However when I engage the blades the motor loses power and quits; and the fuse is blown.. There is no blade obstruction and the blades never start to engage. I have looked over the electric clutch and it looks fine, a bit of oil on it from recent oil change, but otherwise it is clean. Know of any other fuses on the mower or have another area to look?
Thanks. Dan

Answer
Hi Dan
You were right to check the free movement of the blades as this problem indicates a over load of a jammed blade area causing a blown fuse.
suppose the blades are not touching the ground and thus not able to turn?
What about the blade bearings --have they seized ? or any other intermediate bearings .
is it possible that the oil caused a short circuit within the clutch?
