Tractor Repair: Ford 1900 Tractor overheating problem, ford 1900 tractor, air passages

Question
I have a Ford 1900 2WD with 2028 hrs. When I purchased it 3 years ago, it overheated. I have had radiator recored from 2 pass to 3 pass. That helped. Recently, it started overheating again. I have replaced thermostat, changed coolant, and currently have pulled the water pump to verify it is in tact. I removed the thermostat last weekend, to see if this mattered- small change, still overheats. Tractor smokes some (black)but is all in all very strong. Had the injectors reworked 2 months ago, change oil every season, and I keep the radiator clean and air passages clear. Any ideas? Is there a tolerance on the water pump from impellar to housing? Could the pump be worn enough to impair circulation?

Answer
Billy if the engine is down on compresstion it can cause some overheating problems.
If the air cleaner is blocked it can also cause some black smoke and over heating problems as well as the exhaust if it is falling apart inside it can causse back pressure and overheating.
Billy check these problems out remove the muffler (exhaust) and run it a while and see if it helps it will be noisey but see how it goes.
But clean the air cleaner do not remove it as it will destroy he engine if you are in dusty condition.
