Tractor Repair: tackometor 784 international tractor, shelbyville tennessee, international tractor

The tackometor does not work on my tractor i have checked the cable it is not broken were should i look next?

Tim take the cable from back of tacho and start the engine if the cable turns it is in the tacho head or may be the cable that end may be worn on the square that drives.
If the cable does not turn connect it back up and look at the drive on the engine it could be the other end is worn or the drive it self is faulty.
Checkthese items out and let me know how you go.
