Tractor Repair: Neutral Safety Switch, neutral safety switch, jumper wire

Question
Hello Eric,
Thank in advance for answering questions.
I have a Ford 3430 tractor with less that 800 hrs, suddenly it will not start, will not do anything, does not make any sounds when the key is turned.
I have tried the obvious, battery is fully charged, I have jiggled the shifter while turning the key, still nothing.
My question.. How do I determine if it safety neutral switch / selonoid / starter / something else?

Answer
The best way to solve your problem would be to eliminate the possible problems one by one -- I would start with the neutral safety switch/clutch switch -- this switch along with other switches can be bypassed for diagnosis of problems usually with a simple jumper wire -- Some possible locations of safety switches are seat switch - clutch switch - blade safety switch - I would eliminate these items because they could all cause you problem --

I hope this leads you in the right direction

Thank you.

Eric
