Triumph Repair: headlight removal 72 Triumph GT6 Mk 2, flat blade, triumph gt6

I would think this is an easy operation, but I'm stumped. I have a GT6 and the previous owner installed headlight shades I want to remove. Problem is I can't figure out how to undo the trim rings around the headlight. Is it from the front? I see 3 screws that look like they should be undone but there's little space to get a driver in to undo them without damaging the paintwork (2 have a "cutaway," third doesn't and it seems to be for adjustment not rim).

Hi James,

To remove the chrome headlight rims insert a large flat blade screw driver behind the rim at the lowest point that you can access it without damaging the paint and twist to pop the bottom out and lift it up and off.

The two notches are just adjusters to set the aiming of the head lights.

A little grease on the bottom clip before installing the rim will make it easier to get off later when needed.
