Triumph Repair: BUMPER SWAP, chrome bumpers, flat plates

IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIT 1978 BUMPERS TO A 1979 SPIT TO GET RID OF THE UGLY BLACK PLASTIC ONE ?

Sorry Bruno, I don't remember what the 79 mounts looked like but what little I do remember of them was a large flat plate on each side that the bumper attached to. But don't remember if the flat plates were mounted to the hood like the chrome bumpers were.

I doubt it was just a bolt on job to change. Most likely it will require some fabrication work.
