Triumph Repair: steering column, loose bracket, upper column

Our 1979 TR7 has a loose bracket or bearing on the steering column on the firewall in the engine compartment. What does this repair involve.

Hi Brian,
You need to examine the steering column and lower shaft to see what is wrong before any repair can be done. If the shaft is loose in the upper column tube you need to remove the steering column from the car and disassemble the column and see what is wrong.
