I have a 74 TR-6 and I like to know what is the best way of seperating the outer wheel spindle to remove and replace the outer rear end seal?

Hi Willie,
The problem is that you must remove the hub to gain access to the seal and thus you need to reset the preload on the bearings which use a crushable sleeve and reset the preload on the bearings like the preload is set on a pinion of a differential.
This is too extensive to cover in this e-mail program. You need to get a service manual and follow the directions in it as to how to set the preload after installing a seal.
If you do that and have a problem I will be glad to answer any question as you proceed but I would need to write a small book to cover the process here.
