Triumph Repair: Spit 1500 Mallory Distribution, dual point, electornic

Question
Hi,
I saw your question posted and am trying to do a similar thing on a 1980 Spitfire. I first replaced the coil with an after-market one, and things worked well. Then I replaced the distributor with a Mallory dual-point and can't get any spark. I've removed the Lucas Electornic Ignition Amplifier. Do you have any tips? I've likely not wired something up that I need. I get no spark out of the main lead heading to the distributor any more. Thanks a million!!

Answer
test that when your points open and close and that you break the a path to ground.
Test that when you twist the distributor, when the points open, you lose you connection to GND.   Most often there isn't a path to ground, or it is grounded all the time.
