Triumph Repair: jacking a 1971 TR6 w/floor jack, trailing arms, tr6

Question
Where are the correct points on the frame when using a floor jack to raise my 71 TR6.  I have looked everywhere for this info.  Thank you.

Answer
Mike,

As long as the frame is sound, you should be able to jack under the suspension pickup points (front suspension tower and where the rear trailing arms bolt up) without problems.

You should use a block of wood (2x4 or 2x6) between the jack and frame to avoid bending the frame sheetmetal.

Cheers,

Jim
