Triumph Repair: 1981 Triumph TR7, electric fuel pump, fuel pump relay

Question
My car won't start. I took it to a mechanic and he replace the Electric Fuel pump, the gas filter, took old gas out, replace the fuel pump relay. Gas gets to the engine but the injectors won't open or close. Had the ECU repaired a few weeks ago.
I saw 3 white wires with a connector coming from the bottom of the distributor with a plug at the end. This plug is not plugged into anything. Could this be the problem? Do you know where it connects to? Can there be anything else that will stop my car from starting?

Thanks
Carlos

Answer
Carlos,

The plug with the 3 white wires are necessary to make the distributor actually deliver spark to the cylinders.  If it's disconnected then that's the most likely problem.

There should be a matching plug on on the wiring harness, somewhere near the distributor.
