Triumph Repair: replaced head-water leak, wall cracks, block face

Question
I have a TR8 3.5L Engine that had a bad head. I replaced it and installed rebuilt one with no problems. Checked compression and everything was fine. Started to refill w/ coolant and had water dripping out of #7 exhaust port. Torn down engine immediately and found water under the metal gasket around #1 and #7 cylinders on block face as well as head face. Gasket looks fine. What next?
Thanks in adavance

Answer
Gary, TR 7 & 8 are the ones I know the least about. I have seen both and don't be offended but i would'nt want either! using general rules here... what happend to the head? you thought it was bad but it could be more than that. give me a little more information. ex.. did the engine over heat? did bolts torque down ok ? cylinder wall cracks can be hard to see and aluminum warps easy. let me know David
