UK Car Repair: vauxhall zafira cutting out, crankshaft sensor, fuel pump relay

Question
QUESTION: i have a vauxhall zafira that runs fine whilst being driven but in traffic after 10 mins or so cuts out and wont re-start for about 10 mins, i have changed the egr valve, fuel filter and fuel pump relay and spark plugs, checked the crankshaft sensor, i have plugged this into a multi diag that says fuel pump relay fault low voltage, i have checked with a test light and it has power to it, it alsmost seems like something is over heating causing the fuel to be cut off, the car has a spark when it cuts out but no fuel, proving to be a night mare, next step to drop the tank and add new eath/power to see if i can by pass the relay, appreciate your thoughts.

ANSWER: give me the error code, engine size/type/detail , date of manufacture.

get me the details and I can scan the wiring diagrams.

QUESTION: the fault code is P0230 the vehicle is the vauxhall zafira 1.6 16valve club, thanks

Answer
that code can be a few things, if the relay is good it's likely the pump.
but figuring out a bad pump from a faulty ECU... there's not much you can do.

Test the power and earth to the pump like you say, that's the best course of action.

The Error code can mean a few things. either bad power to relay, bad fuel pump, or bad power from the ECU, so start at earths and powers, then check the fuel pump gets power, then check the pressure the fuel pump is giving.
