UK Car Repair: Peugeot 206 Fuel pipe, nuts and bolts, fuel pipe

Question
My Peugeot 206 had a massive fuel leek yesterday after the fuel pipe disconnected its self from the fuel pump whilst i was wating at a traffic lights. On inspection from the AA there seemed to be no problem with the connection or pipe and it reconnected and held with out problem.

I was wondering if you would have any idea why this would happen or if it is a common fault with these cars? as i have only recently purchased it.

any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
the connector has plastic clips you push in at the sides doesn't it?
these connectors can pop off if not properly fitted, maybe your car has had some under bonnet work requiring removing the fuel line, Starting at replacement fuel pump and ending at replacement engine.

not necessarily bad if the work is done properly, but seeing as the fuel pipe disconnected it's not looking too good...

Look under the bonnet for any recently disturbed nuts and bolts and try to figure out whats been done.
