UK Car Repair: car pulling to one side, toyota corolla, corolla

My car is Toyota Corolla GS 1995. I gave my car to mechanic to change the (passenger side) CV gaiter. He couldn't remove the CV from the axle. He tried to remove the CV using hammer and damaged the CV(one ball come out of it. Anyway he refitted the damaged one. since then I have tick tick noise when I turn and very minor pull to one side. Now it is pulling to right and hard to drive. it this pulling to one due to damage to the CV?

The mechanic needs to correct the damage by replacing the whole assembly.  If there was a particular reason he could not remove it then he should have informed you and given you some options. Perhaps you can compromise by you paying for the part and he doing the installation at no additional charge. In any event, I would say it was unsafe to use the car with a damaged Joint.
