I do not have the details but I would suggest setting it by vacuum. If it has vacuum advance, plug it. Connect a vacuum gauge to the manifold and with the engine warm and running. advance the distributor slowly until it reads maximum vacuum, now retard it until the needle just drops, Lock the distributor there. Make sure the vacuum advance does work be re-checking the high speed timing with a light with the advance blocked and then connected.
