UK Car Repair: 79 Rolls SIlver Shadow II, oil pressure switch, pressure connector

Question
QUESTION: The fuel pump is not getting any power. The pump has been removed and tested ok. The wires were tested with a volt meter and had a negative response. My thought was the petrol pump relay. I can not find it. Even with the diagram in the manual. Your thoughts?

ANSWER: There is a fuse in the dash panel for the Pump (No 2} it is a small one on the extreme left 2nd down.

QUESTION: I should have given more info. The vehicle was stored during the winter months. During which time i removed the radiator to have it recored. While sitting idle the gas evaporated from the tank. Before it was noticed that there was no gas, the vehicle was turned over a few times. The tank was filled, filter and pump checked & the fuse checked ok as well. This is where i am sitting now.
Thanks for your quick response.

Answer
OK, then it is unlikely to be the relay. On your car the relay is operated by the "small" oil pressure switch -not the large round transmitter- on the front left of the engine.  Remove the brown & white wire and connect it to a good earth. Now, to prime the system, put the gear lever in drive and turn the key to the start position a number of times. This will energise the pumps and fill the system. You can now try starting it in park.  Refit the oil pressure connector when you turn off the engine.
