UK Car Repair: vw golf, golf mk2, rear drums

Question
hi im not sure if you can help me but i have a volkswagon golf mk2 and i have chainged the rear drums i put the old bearings in and now the drumm has exxesive movement could you please help to diagnose the problem and help me thank you

Answer
Does the main nut seem to have gone in to the same depth as it came off?  You can compare with the opposite side! It sounds as if the bearing did not seat properly, take it off and restart the assembly ensuring the drum goes completely on to the hub. Perhaps you left a part in the old drum?  Check and see.  Good luck
