Volkswagen Repair: alarm problem, volkswagen jetta gls, volkswagen jetta

Question
I recently bought a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta GLS it runs great the only problem is after I set the alarm with the key it set itself fine and all the doors lock but the alarm just randomly goes of for no reason. I can't even leave the alarm off it just put it self on even with all the doors unlocked. It really annoying especially when it does it at 3am. Also if you stall it the alarm usally goes on and I can't start the car back off until I put the key in the door to shut it off.

Answer
Are there any other symtoms? Usually the door latch-lock is the main culprit when it comes to alarm problems. Otherwise you must check the sensors, like the hood alarm sensor. Or the rear trunk sensor. They are just little buttons with two prong wires attached to them. How about the main alarm ECU? Check all related fuses and relays. You are definitely going to purchase a Bentley manuel. You need a diagram of the alarm electrical system to trace the problem. I am Max's German Car located at 15020 Oxnard st Van  Nuys CA 91411.
