Volkswagen Repair: i have a 95 jetta mark 3,..., fuel pressure regulator, engine management system

Question
i have a 95 jetta mark 3, 2.0 liter. I have installed a aftermarket turbo. It is running very very rich.I also have fuel in my oil. Every time i change my oil it smells like straight fuel. I have turned my FMU down a couple of times, but doesn't seem to help. I think maybe a fuel pressure regulator may be bad, but i don't know how to tell for sure. What do you think?

Answer
Can you tell me what fuel system your running?  Is it a modified stock fuel system? Or an aftermarket engine management system? Usaully turbo systems have trouble with running too lean.  I know you can buy an enrichment moduale for turbos so that you can adjust it.  Have you changed your oxygen sensor? They are a common problem when cars start running rich, also the temp sensor, if they go bad they tell the ECU that the motor is cold, so it richens the mixture. You should also check your MAF.
