Volkswagen Repair: Overheating 1979 VW Bug, vw bug, fan belt

Question
My question is regarding a 1979 VW bug that keeps overheating.  The valves were recently adjusted.
Can you tell me what the different problems are that can cause the vehicle to overheat?

Answer
So what makes you think that it is overheating?  Your engine is air-cooled so there is no cooling system except for the cooling fan and ducting that directs the air-flow.  If you are experiencing overheating problems make sure that your fan belt isn't slipping and that the ducting has not rusted away.

If you have further problems post your question on this site and they will be able to answer it.
