Volkswagen Repair: alternator replacement, allen key, v belt

84 jetta gli, can I replace my own, what tools are needed, on a scale of 1-10 how difficult?

You should be able to, need 13mm wrench big screwdriver, a flat bar about 16 inches long  for leverage 10 mm wrench and maybe a large allen key for the other end of the altenator bolt on top   Scale about a 2.  Gotta work from under the car too, to apply force against the altenator to get that V belt   tight.
