Volvo Repair: XC90 ABS message light and breaks, dealer estimate, volvo dealer

Question
The ABS light comes on intermittently, and there are two messages on the console - AntiSkid Service Required and Break Assist Service Required.  Took it to the local volvo dealer.  Estimate is $400 to resolve the issue and $800 for front break pads and rotors.  Feel like I am being ripped off.

well front brakes cost around $650-700 to do plus tax  at volvo dealer .
now with abs im not sure what you need i need to know what part they told you need .
but you can save money by doing order your own parts from this person for front brakes after you get them in mail take it to volvo dealer and install it or anyshop  it will be much less .
